Description

Data Governance is an emerging field in the data management area. In this thesis we will be analyzing the organizational structures that have been implemented by Accenture, for international corporations. These corporations want to maximize their data assets. One way of doing that is by coming up with a new and improved data management model and a data governance initiative can help these corporations jumpstart their improved data management approach. We will look at a number of cases and see what roles have been created, what place in the organization these roles have and what sort of tasks and responsibilities come with these roles. From that analysis we want to see if there are standard roles that need to be filled in a Data Governance initiative, and why it is important that these roles are created.
