UC-IT (Universitair Centurm Informatie Technologie) is the IT service provider of the VU. UC-IT is responsible for IT governance and to set out policies and strategy for information governance. Recently UC-IT has come with a new strategy (I-Strategie 2012-2016)[2]. I- statgeie describes goals that UC-IT set out for here long-term strategy [3]. One of the objectives is to gain control on the data that professors use during their research, thus to be able to argue the outcome of their research and results. Therefore, confidential, reusable and data-sharing is required for further research on a topic.
