Abstract

This thesis describes the modeling, implementation and simulation of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) deployment and symptoms. The computational model is based on recent neurological findings about brain information processing in the scope of this anxiety disorder that manifests through a variety of psychological and physical expressions. Simulations have been performed using the LEADSTO agent modeling environment combined with the jHepWork data-analysis framework. Results sustain that, by altering some connections in the modeled neural network, patterns of feelings and behaviors are obtained similar to those described in literature.
