In this research we study what information need sales representatives have in respect to CRM, while being on the go. This information will be used to designing a prototype mobile application, with the goal to help fulfilling the information need of sales representatives. The mobile application will fulfill the goal of ‘being on the go’, where we expect the sales representative not to have access to the companies’ CRM system, but where they only have access to their mobile phones. This mobile application will be designed based on the gathered requirements and based on the mobile context of the sales representative. This results in the central research question, which can be defined as: “What are the difficulties faced in fulfilling the information need for sales representatives regarding mobile CRM systems?”
