Description

Problem: There are so many scientific articles being published every day that it is very challenging to keep up with the latest developments in a given scientific field.

Solution: By extracting core sentences from scientific articles that we can understand without otherwise looking at the paper, we could provide researchers with an efficient tool to discover, share, and discuss scientific results.

Method: Building upon the concept of AIDA sentences (see http://www.tkuhn.org/pub/kuhn2013eswc.pdf), we can try to extract or construct sentences that are Atomic, Independent, Declarative, and Absolute. We can then evaluate how well this automated extraction can be performed and how helpful these AIDA sentences are for researchers.
