Movies contain many different types of shots, for example close-up and wide angle. By describing these shot types access and re-usability of the shots can be improved. Automatically detecting shot types is possible to some extent. Manually describing the shot types is time-consuming. In this project you explore a crowdsourcing solution to collect shot type descriptions. A possible approach is to build a simple video editor that allows users to create new short films by reusing/remixing existing shots. The application could be inspired by the iMovie trailer functionality. This functionality is based on a template with a fixed order of different shot types. You simply add your own shots and the final result is a fancy movie trailer. In this project we would focus on the potential side-effect of this task, by selecting a shot the user is also describing the shot type.
