Abstract

The thesis will be about improving on the deadlock free wan overlay for high performence distributed computing as described in the article by Ken Hironaka, Hideo Saito and Kenjiro Taura: High performance wide-area overlay using deadlock-free routing, HDCP 2009 in one of three ways:

Improving performance on networks with 10+ Gbps links

Adding support for dynamically adding and removing nodes

Developing a socket API so that existing applications can make use of the network overlay
