Description

As a sea-faring nation, a large portion of Dutch history is found on the water. However, much of the digitized historical source material is still scattered across many databases and archives. In the Dutch Ships and Sailors we bring together maritime historical data from different sources using Linked Data principles.

In this project, you will develop methods, patterns and algorithms to establish (identity) links between heterogeneous resources. For example, one task is to identify the same ship or captain across different datasets.
