Abstract

Vivesta is a company that delivers comprehensive Ingest, Media management, Broadcast management and Automation solutions for (digital) TV, webTV, mobile TV, IPTV and video on-demand services. The clients of these applications make use of different standards for metadatasets (for example SMPTE, Dublin Core, TV Anytime, etc). These standards try to cover all metadata fields with a consequence that they become to big and uncontrollable. This means that it is difficult to exchange information between the different datasets and the applications of Vivesta. Thus, the research will be about finding solutions for this problem and if possible or needed develop one.
