Description

Problem: Existing scientific publications are designed for humans to read, not for machines to process. With the increasing number of scientific publications, however, we need automated approaches, in particular for data publishing.

Solution: Nanopublications (http://nanopub.org/) have been proposed to publish scientific data with Linked Data techniques. They are supposed to be connected to classical publications, but this link still has to be defined and implemented.

Method: Using an HTML-based format for scientific articles (e.g. RASH https://rawgit.com/essepuntato/rash/master/documentation/index.html), we can define ways to include nanopublications (containing machine-readable data) directly in classical publications and thereby make them part of the classical article and subject to reviewing.
