== Modelling Emotion Contagion: Multi-Agent Models for Mutual Absorption of Emotions and Emotion Contagion Spirals ==

Emotion is typically studied as a within-person phenomenon, but recently researchers have begun to explore emotions as a collective property of groups, emphasizing the influence of collective emotions on group processes. Within groups, humans recognize and inevitably react emotionally to expressions of emotions of other group members. The models introduced in the KIM presentation, use an agent-based approach to formalize and simulate emotion contagion within groups, which is described as the tendency to express and feel emotions that are similar to and influenced by those of others.
