The Web of Data is a huge collection of semantically linked data items, where people publish data in machine readable formats. One of the advantages of publishing data on the Web of Data is that data is published without a priori schemas, which simplifies reuse and integration. The price for this increased flexibility is that complex queries need to be written over possible not well understood datasets. This has proven a barrier for the useage of this huge of data.

This student project will implement and evaluate a radically new idea we had to automatically produce queries. The idea is to produce a possibly huge set of possible (and redundant) potential queries, and to apply an incomplete query engine (eRDF) based on evoluationary methods to find sensible solutions.

The project will involve cutting edge research on the Web of Data, and requires some programming experience.
