Problem: Data and automated algorithms (software) are becoming increasingly important in science, but are badly integrated into the scientific publishing process.

Solution: Maybe the concept of "bots", as used on Wikipedia, for example, to perform small tasks to improve articles automatically, could be applied to science too: Small automated tasks could be carried out by such autonomous software agents called "science bots".
