Abstract

Today’s society is massively sedentary. This sedentary lifestyle is accompanied with increased risks for both mental and physical issues and disorders. In order to combat these risks and promote physical activity, the Active2Gether app was developed. The Active2Gether app employs a psychological model of behaviour change. In this study, the model for behaviour change employed by the Active2Gether project will be validated with a new dataset to further investigate its accuracy in predicting change in physical activity. The results of the validation will be used to further develop the model. This will be done either by finetuning the existing parameters, or by removing or adding new parameters to the model.
