Abstract
One of the challenges of designing a service in a Service-Oriented Architecture(SOA) environment is understanding the implied concept of Quality of Service (QoS): not just what it is, but also how it is actually measured and represented. This Master Project will happen in the context of the SeQual project (a collaboration project among IBM and several ICT and communication companies), and will focus on:
- performance-oriented issues in an SOA environment
- performance requirements, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and assessment criteria
- study of modelling notations in order to investigate their capability in what concerns the modelling of these constraints.
