An important area in today’s Business Intelligence is the usage of Data warehousing technology to support decision making. A data warehouse provides structured (star, snowflake schemas) analytical data by integrating and transforming operational (OLTP) and external data from various systems. This data integration process is realized by ETL (Extraction Transformation and Loading). If the structure of the data warehouse is required to change (changed information demand) the ETL process will be required to change as well. This thesis proposes an architecture that can be implemented with current ETL tools, providing for a flexible ETL process able to cope with change.
