About Implementation of the Sequence Harmony webserver(s)

  • This project has been fulfilled.
  • This project fits in the following Bachelor programs: {{#arraymap:|, |xXx|bachelorproject within::xXx|,}}
  • This project fits in the following masterareas: {{#arraymap:Internet and Web Technology, Multimedia, Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science and Communication, Bioinformatics, Information Sciences|, |xXx|project within::xXx|,}}

Several versions exist of the Sequence Harmony method for detection of functional specific positions in protein sequences. Each have several desirable options, but none of the versions currently has all desirable options available.

Current versions can be found at:

Sequence Harmony (default)

Sequence Harmony (development version)

Sequence Harmony Multi (multi-group version)

The project entails to inventory desirable options for the final Sequence Harmony version, and relevant implementation specifications conforming to the general IBIVU webserver set-up. Based on those, a composite Sequence Harmony webserver should be implemented. It is expected that much of the existing server code can be re-used, but several control structures and conversion steps will need to be (partly) rewritten or reimplemented.
